OS Prim Mesher
Prim-to-mesh converter.
OS
Point it at a linkset and get one mesh back. OS Prim Mesher reads every prim's shape from the simulator - box, cylinder, prism, sphere, torus, tube, with cut, hollow, twist and taper - and rebuilds it as geometry, then hands you a COLLADA file to upload.
Your build decides the mesh
A face you made fully transparent is not a face: the builder deleted that surface on purpose, so it is left out of the mesh entirely. And the texture on each face decides which mesh face it lands on, so a build textured in three materials comes out as a mesh with three faces, grouped the way you grouped them. The script counts them before it sends anything and tells you if you are over the eight a mesh can carry.
Built to survive a 64KB script
A hundred prims of shape data is far more than a script can hold, so it never holds it. One prim is read, sent, and forgotten before the next is touched, and every prim is acknowledged - a dropped reply costs the retry, not the run.
Ready for the uploader
COLLADA, one metre per unit, Z up, with normals and UVs. The material names carry the texture UUIDs so you know which face wants which texture after upload. The finished file waits on your account here.
